LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST FOUNDER OF FLORIDA FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY

Johanna W. Guerrero, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in the States of Florida and Texas and she is authorized to conduct psychological evaluations in 35 states. Dr. Guerrero has over 15 years of experience in Forensic Psychology. She earned a master’s degree in psychology from Columbia University in New York and a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She completed a post-doctoral internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Carswell Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Johanna W. Guerrero has worked in private practice, correctional institutions, universities, and hospitals. She has conducted well over 6,000 psychological examinations for Federal, State, Criminal, Civil, Immigration, and Juvenile courts. She has testified as an expert witness on more than 300 occasions. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychology-Law Society.

Dominic L. Galvez

Dominic L. Galvez, Psy.D.

LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

Dominic L. Galvez, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist in the States of Florida and Mississippi, with specialized training and experience in Forensic Psychology. He is able to conduct psychological evaluations in 35 states. He earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from Nova Southeastern University, and master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Albizu University in Florida. He completed a clinical psychology predoctoral internship at the Mississippi State Hospital, where he also completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology in the Forensic Evaluation Service.

Dr. Galvez has worked in community mental health centers, hospitals, and in private practice. Additionally, Dr. Galvez has conducted hundreds of psychological evaluations for immigration, criminal, and civil courts that have encompassed a wide range of psycho-legal questions. He has also testified as an expert witness for criminal cases. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the American Psychology-Law Society.

Johana Soto

Johana Soto, M.S.W.

Social worker

Mrs. Johana Soto has a Master of Social Work degree in the State of Florida from Barry University. She completed her internship at the Dade County Jail, conducting assessments for newly arrested and convicted inmates, in conjunction with an internship at a domestic violence shelter for women and children.

Mrs. Soto has worked with different populations in domestic violence, drug treatment programs, community mental health, and in hospice, where she has used different evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Holistic Psychotherapy, and Behavior Modification. Mrs. Soto has been working with Florida Forensic Psychology for over seven years, conducting evaluations for clients with immigration cases.

Rosemary Portorreal

Ms. Portorreal completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing and Management at Lehman College, CUNY, in New York, NY. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She has been a business accountant for 16 years and has been with Florida Forensic Psychology for more than eight years.
