U Visa / T Visa PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS

U Visa

Some individuals who have been the victims of serious crimes may be eligible for U Visas. When applying for U Visas, psychological evaluations are used to assist in documenting the substantial physical or mental abuse as a result of having been the victim of a serious crime.

The U Visa psychological evaluation assesses the client’s mental state and assesses the mental health consequences resulting from exposure to the crime.

T Visa

Some individuals who have been victims of human trafficking may be eligible for T Visas. Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to compel individuals to provide labor, services, and/or commercial sex. When applying for T Visas, psychological evaluations are used to assist in documenting the substantial physical or mental abuse as a result of having been the victim of human trafficking. The T Visa psychological evaluation assesses the client’s mental state and assesses the mental health consequences resulting from being trafficked.
U Visa/ T Visa psychological evaluations include clinical interviews and psychological testing. The psychological report includes a description of the client’s impairments, symptoms, and diagnoses which may include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and major depression.
